SECURITY PAVILION AT 8TH INTERNATIONAL RAILWAY EQUIPMENT EXHIBITION (IREE) 2009 24-26 AUGUST, 2009 : PRAGATI MAIDAN, NEW DELHI

The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in association with Asian Professional Security Association (APSA) and Fire & Safety Association of India (FSAI) is organizing the First Security Pavilion as part of the 8th International Railway Equipment Exhibition (IREE 2009) organized by CII in association with the Ministry of Railways, Government of India, from 24 – 26 August 2009 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.

The Security Pavilion at IREE’09 - a first joint initiative of CII, APSA & FSAI, will focus on Fire Safety, Security and Disaster Management aspects of the railway industry. The display profile of this pavilion will include special equipments and technologies for the railway stations and the entire rail system including the trains.

Indian Railways is continuously focusing on modernization of its entire rail system, and of late, there is a special priority on railway stations and trains particulary, keeping in view the forthcoming 2010 commonwealth games. Accidents, terrorist’s attacks and Safety and Security are of great concerns today and the Ministry of Railways are focusing on these areas for bringing in the most modern equipments and systems for the entire railway system in India.

Against this backdrop, CII, APSA and FSAI have joined hands to introduce the first Security Pavilion at IREE’09 to provide the right platform for the industry and relevant players in this sector to showcase the latest products and services and to interact with the Indian Railways as well as the international railway sector at IREE 2009.

As in the previous seven editions, the Ministry of Railways has, once again, confirmed their support and participation in IREE 2009 in a big way, along with all its subsidiaries CLW, DLW, RDSO, RCF, RITES, IRCON etc.

An International Seminar on Railways, focusing on Development trends, Vision for Freight and Passenger Management, Vision in Safety Practices, and adopting state of the art technologies, is also planned concurrently with the IREE 2009. Eminent speakers from the International Railway Community and Indian Railways will update the audience on the latest technologies available for the Railway Sector.
